Greg Lenihan was my Master’s student at UNM while I was a tenured member of the faculty in the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of New Mexico. Greg most definitely has the intellectual capacity for pursuing his graduate studies towards a PhD. He performed well in his course work but where he really excelled in was in designing and completing projects in various applied areas, including his MS thesis on echo cancellation. In my estimation Greg also has the passion to pursue the PhD degree that is based on a true thirst for knowledge, not abundantly found in all graduate students.
He has good communication skills and worked well with my team of graduate researchers. I would not hesitate to hire Greg in my own group.
Overall, I would definitely recommend him for acceptance in a PhD program.
